I agreed. More fervently internally, than outwardly in the coffee shop of commuters. Juli is a photojournalist. More specifically, on paper, she is a "content producer." But, that seemed to make it impersonal. Her job is to capture real life stories. Her life is about being a good human and doing the right thing. In an industry transitioning to video and digital content, that could seem a bit pointless. But, to me and I'm sure to many others, the mission to be compassionate was a valuable treasure. Juli remembers a day when she had a flat tire. While contemplating a solution, she saw an elderly, and possibly ill, woman on her way to the soup kitchen. She served there every day. We could assume her goal was to feed the hungry. But, I think Juli and I inferred something much deeper. That the life she stewarded was not about her.
